Christmas Wishes

As has been customary for the past ten years or so, in a couple of hours the Texas Gal and I will go get my mother, and the three of us will head the fifty or so miles to my sister’s home in Maple Grove for our Christmas festivities. We’ll exchange small gifts, tell tales, dine well, laugh, and be a family.

What more do we need for Christmas? Nothing, I guess. What more do we desire for Christmas? That everyone’s family could have a place at the larger table today, that there can come a time when no one gets left out. That’s a dream well worth working toward.

And I pass on as well the wish that those who stop by this little spot on the ’Net might have a holiday of joy and laughter, of good food and good company, and of peace.
