‘Take My Mind Beyond The Dreams . . .’

I am off to telephone Doctor Julie, as whatever has been plaguing me for three days has done so for one day too long. My thoughts on Chef Boy-Ar-Dee or about covers of one of the greatest songs ever recorded by The Band – as promised Tuesday – will have to wait one or more days.

In the meantime, here’s a track from War. In February 1972, forty years ago this week, the single edit of “Slippin’ Into Darkness” was at No. 65 on its way to No. 16. The version in the video below is the track from the album All Day Music, which would itself go to No. 16 later on in 1972.

I’ll be back Saturday, I’m sure. Be well, all.
